Follow Friday--Blog Purpose

*ANNOUNCEMENT: JFP'S CREATIVE FRIGHTING CONTEST IS IN FULL SWING! GO TO THIS WEBSITE, READ SOME AWESOME SHORT STORIES, AND VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE! I HAVE ONE IN THE RUNNING! IF YOU LIKE THEM, PLEASE SPREAD THE NEWS! THERE ARE PRIZES FOR RANDOM VOTERS! THANKS!

Welcome to Follow Friday!

Gain new followers and make new friends with the Book Blogger Feature & Follow! If this is your first time here, welcome! You are about to make some new friends and gain new followers -- but you have to know -- the point of this hop is to follow other bloggers also. I follow you, you follow me.

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs!

How does this work? First you leave your name here on this post, (using the linky tools -- keep scrolling!) then you create a post on your own blog that links back to this post (easiest way is to just grab the code under the #FF picture and put it in your post) and then you visit as many blogs as you can and tell them "hi" in their comments (on the post that has the #FF image). You follow them, they follow you. Win. Win. Just make sure to follow back if someone follows you!

Q: What do you hope to accomplish with your blog? Is it to one day become an author yourself, just for fun, maybe get some online attention, or maybe something very different?

A: I am a writer that writes across three different genres: scifi/fantasy, historical fiction, and crime drama. As you might imagine, history is one of my passions. I'm especially fond of anything dealing with the medieval period. Even minored in history in college! My first historical fiction, entitled Citadels of Fire, is about a maid working in the Kremlin palace during the reign of Ivan the Terrible. It's the first book of a trilogy and has elements of romance, mystery, and of course political/sexual drama (imperial court and all). :D Click HERE to read the press release from Jolly Fish Press.

So, this blog is to spread my neuroses knowledge about history, indulge my need to geek out about it, and eventually promote my book (release date September 2013).

What about you? What's YOUR blog's purpose?

  1. Hi Liesel! New follower here too!

I love history so much! It's one of my passions. I hope to write more about it. I'm working on the prequel to a story, and it begins in 17th century France, with Cardinal Richelieu!

Best of luck to you, have a great weekend!

  5. That's awesome! I want to be published myself one day, but am struggling to get agents to look at my manuscript, but I keep trying. Self publishing may be route next year!

Plus I love reading and it's what I do when I am in these horrible writer's block modes.

    Here's my Follow Friday

  7. You've gotta love a good geek-out! I don't know if I have the attention span for historical novels. I do love me some Celtic and Greek mythology though, so maybe I'd surprise myself! If there's romance and or sex scenes, I'm sold! Crude, I know, but we all have our vices when it comes to reading!
