Alex J Cavanaugh's Genre Favorites Blog Fest

Favorite Genre of:

Movie: Action Adventure--from any genre. I like action period pieces as much as futuristic or scifi/fantasy movies. SO excited for Looper. :D

Music: Rock 'n' Roll or Country--polar opposites, I know, but I can't help myself. I like Linkin Park, Breaking Benjamin and Nickelback as much as Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw and Cary Underwood. :D

Books: High Fantasy. I'm actually very eclectic but this is what I read the most of, and what I tend to get the most excited about.

Guilty Pleasure from any: I like slasher flicks. Can't help it. I love it when flawed heroines kick big B-movie bad-guy's butts!

What are your genre favorites?

  2. here is my problem... your guilty pleasure is slasher, but your image shows a comedy... if it ain't got zombie in the title, forget about it. kidding.

  3. I'm not a huge country fan but I must say that I LOVE Garth Brooks. One of the most talented musicians of all time! :)

  4. My guilty pleasure is really cheese fantasy/sci-fi shows. I have the box set of "Xena" and will probably grab "Hercules" when I get the chance.

  6. Hi, Liesel. As you can see I'm still working my way through the list. *waves* I don't like country music, but do love Garth Brooks. You can't go wrong with a guy who grew up loving Kiss and Billy Joel!! Plus for a country guy, he can rock! As a horror writer, I love that you mentioned slasher picks as a guilty pleasure. I watch less and less of those as I get older, but had to give you a shout-out for that.
    Great to meet you.
